Q: i-tv drop out

WHEN I WATCH A RENTED MOVIE FROM I-TUNES IT DROPS OUT WHILE I AM WATCHING & I HAVE TO LOG IN AGAIN & RESTART, IS THIS COMMON & IS THERE A FIX

    Not quite sure if you rented in itunes on computer or directly on AppleTV.

     

    As for the dropouts first thing to check would be your newtwork and internet connection.

     

    I've never seen this issue myself, but if uisng wi-fi that can be prone to intereference/dropouts.

     

    Equally if your local network is ok, and your internet connection is erratic dropouts could occur. Test your internet speed on a computer at speedtest.net  - also check if your ISP 'throttles' connections at certain times or after certain amount of data has been used.

     

    Always worth unpowering the unit and restratin it if it misbehaves.
