I appear to be having a problem with songs that i didnt download from itunes -- they do not appear in my artists list on my iphone 4s - the artist names are filled out correctly in itunes (on the itunes column and the album artist column ) But its still not appearing there. Any ideas anyone!!

Are these tracks part of a soundtrack by any chance? If this is the case you might have to access the track information on iTunes and uncheck them as 'Part of a Compilation'. That ought to make them appear on your iPhone when looking by Artist.
No I'm afraid I've already tried that an they're not part of a compilation and the tick box for all the songs are even unchecked. Any more suggestions anyone ? Thank u for responding though
