I need help getting some xdcam files that are on my hard drive into final cut pro. Files were taken with Sony EX-3 camera, and are still in BPAV folder, but are no longer on SxS card.
I have updated all the Mac and Sony XDCam Transfer software, but I am having no luck getting the files into FCP.
Help.

If you're running Lion you need XDCAM BROWSER - not XDCAM Transfer.
Both available free on the Sony website.

andynick - in general what is the most efficient workflow when shooting on XDCAM EX (SxS) and editing on FCPX? Do you still have to go through the process of copying the SxS using XDCAM Clip Browser if FCPX can create optimized media? I understand the FCP7 workflow; creating BPAV folders from original SxS cards and then import XDCAM directly within FCP7 - but I'm trying to use FCPX and the FCPX file management...
