Can I add the "Add Comment Icon" in the tool bar when Pages is in Full Screen view?

I edit documents in full screen mode in Pages, does anyone know if I can add the "add comment" icon to the full screen tool bar in pages. Every time I want to add a comment I have to go to "Insert" in the tool bar, then scroll down to add comment.

As iot was explained several times, when you are in Full screen mode, the tool bar and the Edit bar are unavailable.

This is why I don't use this mode but run the free application : isolator.app

Yvan,

Thank you for your suggestion. I will try isolator -- I'm not certain who (or what) iot is, but the edit bar is available in full-screen mode as a hidden drop down. One need simply move the cursor to the top of the screen and it will appear. It is in this drop down bar that I would like to place the comment icon. I find it odd that Apple would not have put it in this bar since all of the other Tracking tools are present in the bar.

So my question now is whether items can be placed on that bar -- I've searched and have not found an answer to this. Be that as it may, again, thank you for your help.

I know that in Full Screen mode we may reveal the menu bar but we can't reveal other tools.

"iot" was the result of a typo. I wanted to type "it" but, as they often do, fingers skid on the flat keys of the aluminium keyboard which is a beautiful object but an inefficient one.

To install a button in the toolbar you must read Pages User Guide.

Maybe you searched for "tool bar" when the item is named "toolbar" 😉

In Full Screen Mode, the tool bar is not available, but keyboard shortcuts are by creating a keyboard shortcut in System Preferences>Keyboard>Keyboard Shortcuts.

Simply select "Application Shortcuts" in the left-hand column, then click the "+" button at the bottom of the right-hand column. When the dialogue opens, select Pages in the pull down and type "Comment" (without he quotes) in the Menu Title and select a keyboard shortcut that you like and hit "Add".

Now when you work in Full Screen Mode, adding a comment is a shortcut away. Just place your cursor where you want your comment, hit your magic keystroke shortcut and a comment box will be attached ready for your words of wisdom.

Good Luck.
