my remote isn't going left...or back...is there a way I can trouble shoot this?

Hi there,

I just got an apple tv a few weeks ago -

My remote is working fine until yesterday - it is not going "back" or going "left" ...this button doesn't seem to work anymore - is there a way I can trouble shoot this?
