im trying to redeem my back to uni gift card, however everytime i submit the code to redeem it, it says: "This Apple ID is only valid for purchases in the U.S. iTunes Store. You will be switched to that Store. Try your purchase again." what do i do? do i change my apple ID so thats valid for purchases in AU? how do i do that? iv tried simply changing countrys from US to AU in the App store, however that doesnt work either.

Where did you set up your itunes account when you first created it? Changing countries in the store menu doesn't switch your account to that store, it merely shows you its contents. If you live in AU you'll have to create an account using an address in that country and you can only use gift cards that are made for the AU iTunes store.

at home here in australia, but to begin with i think the ID was setup to be US... but i changed it to include my australian address etc. I tried to create a new apple ID, fresh, but that didnt work, because i used the same email address..
