I lost my iPad

Does anyone know the steps to recovering a lost iPad? I left it behind in a rental car and I was only able to leave a message on their lost and found voicemail box. I will call the police and hopefully try to get a report. What else can I do to erase the personal info on the iPad? I have iCloud, but the Find my iPhone app was not on that iPad. Can I erase the apps and photos using the iCloud? I couldn't find anything on the iCloud webpage and I can't figure out how to view my apps with the little iCloud symbol next to it.

Thanks

iPad

Find my iPhone requires that you first enabled it on your iPad and that Location Services was on. If you did all that you would be able to use iCloud > Find My iPhone (despite its name it will find all eligible devices).

If it is not there make sure you are signing in with your correct Apple ID.

If it is there you can remotely lock it, send a message, or wipe it completely.

That's pretty much all you can do 😟 If the rental company is reputable they will return it. They will know who accepted your car. People get fired for stealing customers' items.
