iPad stuck on boot logo, dont want to restore

Hello, My iPad 2 is stuck on boot logo, I was comming home from a party my ipad had fully discharged so i plugged it in and an hour later i came bact to check on it and it was still booting, I plugged it out and took it to my living room i tried soft resetting but that didnt work (it discharged right after i soft reset) i read online that i can restore w/ recovery mode i would but i dont want to loose my data & i havent backup in a month so can anyone help me out?
