Will not boot into Safe Mode

MacBook will not boot into Safe Mode, only fills bar to about one third and hangs up.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

It worked for me too.

Unfortunately my computer was experiencing some "spinning ball" lately and when checking the syslog after the safe boot procedure I discovered some "disk0s2 I/O errors", and a coupple of hours later the HD crashed... :-(

So it's in the Apple store now to get that fixed.

Took the oppurtunity to let them check my screen/display too, cause it has some flaws.

Hope they will replace that too.


But thanks for your clear protocol on how to work around the 2GB.

Still think this is a bug, but I will get into it again after my 27 inch iMac returns from the shop.
