Q: My macbook pro makes beeping sounds loads software bar a couple of times before booting

My mid 2010 macbook pro when started makes a series of beeping noises the load software bar appears and that happens a couple of times before I get a nomral boot, Please help?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

Beeps can mean a problem with RAM (memory)
