iPod won´t sync purchased iTunes from iMac

My new iPod won´t download items I have purchased from iTunes onto my iMac. The message states that my computer is not authorised but it is! Can anyone help?

iPod classic 160GB (Late 2009), Mac OS X (10.6.8)
