Q: these steps did not work for me.... do you press the D key when you press the power button?

I have a Macbook Pro from 2010 December.the computer booted up as it would normally. Thanks in advance to whoever answers me!

MacBook Pro, Mac OS 8.6 or Earlier, I installed Lion separately

    What are you trying to do with the D key. Try Option+d or Command+d.

     

    If you are trying to run the Online Apple hardware test I'm not sure your system supports that. The AHT is included with the Applications DVD that came kwith your system.
