Poor iPhone 4S battery life - related to WiFi?

The whole 'poor battery life' thing seems to have died down yet I'm still having to charge my iPhone THREE times a day 😟

One thing I have noticed is that I only have to do this when at home. When I go out for the day but iPhone typically lasts all day easily without a charge. The only difference I can see is WiFi (at home I tend to use my iPad so it's not from more use).

Anyone else seeing this/have any suggestions?
