Oct 19, 2016 9:29 PM in response to cocoelliecowby ivyyao,Hi! i think you are right when you lost your photos and firstly think of recovering them from your backuop. but indeed, when you restore your iPhone with iTunes backup, you will lose some data and files on your iPhone. you don't need to be worried about it. in fact, you can recover lost photos from iTunes backup and also iCloud backup with no need of restoring your device, which means you won't lose any data on your iPhone. so you just need another program to help you get back your missing photos. i know a software. i can introduce to you. and there is also a guide about how to get back lost photos from iPhone with this tool. here is its link. you can have a try on it.http://https://www.primosync.com/support/recover-deleted-photos-from-iphone-back up.htm

If you have an iTunes/iCloud backup file for those photos, They can be restored from backups. According to the instructions of Apple, you can try the following steps to retrieve them.
iTunes: Plug in iPhone to connect with iTunes.(Make sure iTunes is updated to the latest version) Head to "File" > "Devices" > "Restore from Backup". Then, choose a previous backup and click on "Restore". Wait till its done.
iCloud: Log in iCloud account on iCloud.com and check out whether the photos are stored here. If so, you might need to reset your iPhone in order to restore them from iCloud. On iPhone go to "Settings" > "General" > "Reset" > "Erase All Content and Settings". Then. after the iPhone reboots, choose "Restore from iCloud Backup".
However, if you don't want to erase your iPhone, try iPhone Data Recovery on iFoneTips. I've got my deleted photos back on iPhone 6s thanks to it. It can even restore without backups. Hope it helps.
