Magic Mouse Question
I purchased a magic mouse off craigslist and would like to change the device name. It shows the previous owner's name. Currently i'm running Mac OS X version 10.5.8

Go to System Preferences > Bluetooth > highlight the mouse on the left > click the Gear icon below the list and select rename.

On my Mac, there is no option to "Rename" under the gear wheel.

Once I check "Show More Info" the menu contains:
I would have thought that "Update Device Name" would be what's called for, but it does nothing. This is pretty annoying, I'm reminded of the previous owner's identity every time I connect and disconnect the device.
What's the solution here?

Remembered that I had an installed driver called "USB Overdrive" for supporting an Evoluent Vertical Mouse which was conflicting with the proper display of options in the bluetooth/mouse driver settings panes.
