Where is this library folder that everyone is talking about? I'm fairly new to the IPad and can't find it. I want to be able to SAVE PDF files and one would think this would be rather simple. But now I am in a quagmire of answers that I don't understand. I can even see folders that have been saved in the PDF application so it must have saved them automatically. I can delete them, edit them but how so I save a New one???

    Any help appreciated.

The library files are in Mac computers saving Adobe .pdf's and not the iPad. In order to save .pdf files on the iPad, you have to do the following:

    1. Download adobe reader app
    2. Go to page you want to save
    3. Tap at top of page> box will appear: open in adobe
    4. Tap on the box. Page will open as PDF in Adobe

    Thanks, Wendy

I have tried tapping all over the top of the page. All I get is an option to maximize or close the site. This is a National Park Service site concerning "the Golden Spike Park" but I will be darned if I can save the thing.

Any other options? This doesn't make any sense.

First I would go to this website and download Adobe PDF viewer for the iPad:

Then make sure you have the latest iOS for your iPad because the version of Safari on your iPad is tied to the OS. Could have something to do with ability to access Adobe PDF viewer.

    My wife's iPad has Mozilla/5.0 (iPad;CPU OS6_0_1 like Mac OSX) Applewebkit/536.26 (KHTML, Like Gecko) Version 6.1.3 Mobile/10A523 Safari/8536.25

From what I can find from other sources, Safari/8536.25 appears to be version 6 of Safari.

You can find the version of Safari on an iPad 2 by typing javascript:alert(navigator.userAgent) in the address bar and hit return. A little blue box will pop up showing all the info I posted above.

I went to the Golden Spike Park site and was able to download and save the list of employees as an Adobe PDF document, so I know it works.
