Photos for MacUse the restore discs that came with the MBP.
1. Insert the disc, restart while holding down the "c" key.
2. Format, install OS.
3. Deliver to buyer.

Feb 20, 2012 4:09 PM in response to thegreekprof425by Niel,If you're trying to restore the MacBook Pro with its own original disks or a retail package newer than it, you need to restart with the Option key held down and tab to that disk. You can't use either of those to restore the MacBook Air.
shldr2thewheel: Having sold the computer doesn't automatically mean that they've sent it to the purchaser. If it was sold over the Internet, shipping it is a separate process.

Photos for MacYes, However I inferred that the OP was attempting to restore the MBP before delivering it to the new owner. The question is a little unclear.

Feb 20, 2012 4:12 PM in response to thegreekprof425by jgelements,If you are trying to restore a 10.7 MacBook Pro to its original out of the box state, erase/install 10.6 using the original discs that came with the computer.
If you are trying to clean the 10.7 MacBook Pro or MacBook Air without reverting to a previous OS, then erase/install 10.7 using Lion Recovery.
