1st generation iPod nano recall

It take can up to 6 weeks from the date of when Apple receives your returned unit to ship out the replacement. So for now, just keep waiting.

They received mine on December 30th and I'm STILL waiting... going on 8 weeks now and it's still pending.

If that's the case, you should give Apple a call and figure out what's going on.

Are you supposed to ship your old ipod directly back to them? I seem to recall reading they would send me a box to ship it back in and have been waiting a month at the first step of the replacement program...

I started the return process Nov 16 2011. The return Package arrived Dec 232011. They received my IPOD via UPS on Dec 29 2011 and it was "lost" in the receiving department to Jan 16 2012. Now it is Feb 28 2012 and PRODUCT REPLACEMENT IS PENDING. Calling Apple is frustrating and a waste of time.

An hour after I posted my complaint about Apple's tardiness on the IPOD replacement program I received an email that my replacement was shipped.

I received my iPod Nano today March 1 2012

this may be good news for you or bad (for me its bad) that 1st generation ipod nano you sent apple, your never going to see it again. they are going to (this is a fact) send you a Ipod gen 6 with 8GB. i got this Piece Of Crap instead i never agreed to it they just screwed me. i hope you like the 6th Generation ipod nano cause your stuck with it. my problem is among many other things its to small.
