missing contact names

Hi there! I need help with same problem! The *228 doesn't allow me to dial it and no idea what needs to be done in order to get my phone contacts back with the names ??? Any suggestions and please if you can give me a detail description of the steps! So desperate !!!no idea what to do

If you are a Verizon user, try this:

1. Open the phone and dial *228. This is a Verizon over-the-air programming number.
2. When the system answer press 1 for "Program or activate your phone"
3. Wait for the call to disconnect. You should get a prompt stating "Settings updated."
4. Double tap the Home button to bring up the recently used apps list at the bottom. Locate the Phone, Message, and Contacts apps, swiping if necessary, and press and hold until they jiggle then press the red minus sign to stop them.
5. Wait a 3-5 minutes.
6. Open the Message App to see if they're fixed.

i got an iphone 4s and i live in UAE, recently when i add a contact to my contact list by saving the number from the messages after a while i find that the contact name that i saved is not in the list and then when adding it again after a while it disappears, some time it happen after i sync the phone and some time before, I'm getting crazy why this thing is happening? the phone was ok before and now I'm worried coz any new number i add i lose it, does any body have an idea about this issue? and how to fix it?

I just updated my wife and I's iPhone to iOS 6. Now when she sends me messages it has the incorrect name at the top. For some reason my daughter's name is at the top of the message I receive.

Any suggestions?
