Setup local DNS server (BIND or the like) on Lion

Hi,

In my office, there is serious lag on the DNS requests using my Macbook. (it's the only computer affected on the entire network)

So what I had done under snow leopard, is to activate the BIND DNS server to cache the DNS entries. This solved the issue.

I tried to do the same under lion, but the instructions do not apply the same way. (the last step is not applicable based on the comment tutorials)

Would anyone provide an update set of instructiosn for Lion itself? Or another solution if it exists.

Before i found this solution I had reinstalled the OS, disabled IPv6, change the external DNS server, to no avail.

Thanks

Kovacs
