i have recently created a 2nd itunes account and purchased new songs and they play fine on ipod (classic) but songs from old account wont play at all? how can i fix this?

    They won't play in iTunes or they won't play on your iPod Classic?  If they won't play in iTunes, make sure the account you used to purchase these tracks is authorized on your PC and in iTunes. To do this, head to Store -> Authorize this Computer and then enter in the older account's credentials.

    Hi planb77,

     

    they will play when the ipod is connected to my laptop but they wont play when its not connected, does this help?

    What happens when you try to play them on your iPod Classic?  Have you tried a hard reset to see if that does anything? To do this, first make sure the hold switch is not in the On position, then press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.

    i done the reset as you suggested, it appears to have solved the problem!
