On your iPod invoice or receipt

Some retailers may include the serial number of your iPod on the receipt.

Online at My Support Profile

If you used your Apple ID to register or purchase your iPod, you may find the serial number listed in My Support Profile (available in the United States and Canada). Log in with your Apple ID and find your iPod in the "My Products" box on the main page:

If you have synced your iPod with your Mac, you can find the serial number in the following file:

~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iPod.plist

which can be read with Property List Editor, if you have that installed. You will probably need to reveal down through "Devices" and to the specific device.

You should also refrain from altering the default font used for posting messages. Going overboard with your choice of font, color, and underlining doesn't bring attention to your problem, but it does scream "Amateur!" and makes it quite difficult for people to read.
