Apple calendar reminder is really poor

Apple calendar reminder is really poor, it makes a beep ones and then its gone... pleeeease apple, include the option that the user will be reminded until canceling the reminder. I have never forgot so much things as when I bought the Iphone..

And on the locked screen I would like to have all my calendar meetings for the complete day.

now it only shows the current calendar meeting that just happends, and only for a short time... then it goes away.

When I put something in my Calendar then I want to have this as a "to do" list for the day..

Pleeease Apple, I like your phone a lot, but Pleeeeeease lets help out and make the calendar usefull.

I am used to have Nokia, and there it was good. And all my friends have the same opinion.

Lets bring Iphone to the leading position in the market!

:-)

Kind Regards Fredrik

You need to find a new calendar/scheduler/agenda application. Calendar app has two optional reminders for each event, but once the reminder goes off, it never tells you again. So, if your schedule is disrupted and you miss both alarms, you are screwed unless you look at your calendar. This is a very bad shortcoming of calendar app - it renders it dangerously useful. That is, the app works for you until you miss an important meeting, and then it is too late to realize you MUST NOT depend on this app for reminders. You can't even find a list of reminders that you missed because the reminders are not interactive - the app cannot know what you missed.

Calendar alarm tone can be configured

Settings > Sounds > Calendar Alerts

You can set the alarm before the event twice.

Use Reminder app for your To-Do list.

There are tons of Calendar apps in the App Store which might suit your particular needs.

The iPhone is already leading in the smart phone market (in revenue)

By the way, there's no apple here, just us users.

-Does Reminder app sync with the Calendar? I add most of the reminders in outlook on the computer..

Hi FredrikPC2

I had the same issue. very frustrating, i would miss my alerts for events at the weekend as i didnt have my pc in front of me. I found a solution. There is an app called CalAlarm. It sets up a alarm sound (which cn be the same as your normal calendar alert) and keeps playing this tone ever minute until you respond to it. You have to play around with a few settings to make it work perfectly, but i really like it. the only drawback is that if you make any changes in your outlook or iphone calendar, you must reopen the app. this is an IOS security issue and all apps have this problem, basically they are not allowed to access the data in background mode. Not too bad an issue and this is definietly a improvement. just got it today and seems to work well. $1.99 so not too expensive. Hope this helps. let me know what you think.

I agree to Fredrik whereby, the calendar notification goes off, especially as soon as you swipe your phone to unlock the screen! I struggle to even notice what calendar notification it was and I have to scroll through my calendar one day and a time to see what the notification was all about. Yes, you can set the two reminder notification but that is besides the point. The notification should be on your screen till you decide to cancel the reminder.

And that was when I noticed another flaw. All my previous calendar events are missing! Though it is being synched to iCloud, it makes no sense why previous events are missing from my calendar. I have been unable to trace back when some events actually happened from my calendar.

Now this 2 issues don't sound make the iPhone very smart to me when it comes to a calendar app. Is Apple looking into this??
