Feb 22, 2012 1:39 PM in response to Texas Mac Manby christopher rigby1,Thanks Tom, but that article makes it look as if my problem is more complicated than it really is?
The last owner reinstalled Leopard, but instead of allowing me to set the computer up as 1st user, he created a new admin account with no files in, and no password. Now that I have my own admin account and data migrated, can I just delete his account?
I'm only asking because I thought I read somewhere that deleting the first user might cause problems?

Feb 22, 2012 2:46 PM in response to christopher rigby1by BDAqua,You know the dangers of changing the shortname right?
You could remove it & add a new Admin of your choosing I guess.

Feb 23, 2012 4:16 AM in response to BDAquaby christopher rigby1,Yes, I won't be changing the short name! As for a new Admin, I'm already there (here)
I've changed his name and removed Admin privileges so it's mostly been done.
