Thanks very much for offer but I just managed to download and working well. Many thanks again.
Glad you have it now 🙂
Just so you know, stevejobsfan0123, what you did was illegal. Calibri is a font included with Microsoft Office. As such, it is copyrighted and not available to be freely distributed.
It came with my Mac, which did not have Office.
P.S. I never emailed it anyway.
However it got there, it is copyrighted material owned by MS. That doesn't mean you can't find Calibri all over the web where they tout it as a free download. But they are also breaking the law by making it available for distribution.
Well, then, I apologize for discussing illegal activity.
The Calibri font was created and is distributed by Microsoft within their software products. It is not available separately from Microsoft but they have licensed Ascender to distribute the font, and it is available from them for a mere $120:

That will get you a legal copy.
No problem. I wasn't trying to accuse you of anything done intentionally.
It's far too easy to find all kinds of "free" downloads of various things on the web which are not free at all, but commercial products being posted by someone illegally. It then becomes a matter of knowing whether or not it is actually a free product. Some are easy. Photoshop is certainly not free. Many fonts are, so if a person doesn't know where a particular typeface came from, they don't know what they're getting has been illegally posted for download.
Thanks for your full explanation.
After farther research I see that it seems the name of the font is copyrighted, not the font itself.
My dear fan . . .
Please pay attention. You are obviously someone who wants to contribute here, and at the same time, has a lot to learn. You're very bright, and commited to all things Mac. Here's some advice for any young person interested in getting involved here:
So, as a poster here, you cannot send anyone any file. That is not our job. Our job is to help posters help themselves. So, the Original Poster could have Googled it, found a "free" download. Or found that he should really buy the legitimate version. We can hellp them decide what to do there.
But we should never ask for their email address or offer to send them our files.
I'm sure you understand that, right?
Yes, I understand.
😟 Sigh, just another mistake I've made lately
Don't let it get you down. You are providing great help and advice here.
Stedman
Thanks 🙂
