I clicked on "open in dashboard" on a webpage; now every time I try to open my dashboard it re-directs to Safari and opens a new tab. I cannot stay on the dashboard long enough to delete whatever is causing the problem. I need help. Safari 5.1.3 OS X 10.7.3

Try this -
While Finder is the active app, hold down the Option key and open the Go menu - select Library from the list.
In the window that opens, locate and open the Preferences folder.
In the Preferences folder, locate the file named
com.apple.dashboard.plist
and throw it away.
Then restart and try Dashboard again.
You may need to add back in your other Dashboard widgets afterwards.
