is it impossible to open an itunes account without credit card?

if an apple product customer have no credit card, how to open an iTunes account for downloading a free upgrade of Lion for iMac or any apps for iPhone..??

You may create an iTunes Account without a credit card, but if you just want to update Lion you don't really need that. If you've already downloaded apps to your phone then you already have an account.

When you have to choose your payment form, select None.

i had missed the chance to free upgrade Lion due to this case and now i have to pay for Lion.

i had downloaded some apps for my iphone by using my friend's account so i still have no iTunes account~@@,

i tried to open an account by following your ways but i found no option of NONE.

thanks so much for your help~^^

i tried twice to apply by using my city HONG KONG and country USA too, still showed me without sellection of NONE.

zidane3: Open itunes, change country to UK (at the bottom at manage, change country) and search for "remote" and install. Then you can select for "none" 🙂
