ITunes match keeps on hanging with uploading

After start up of ITunes it keeps on hanging in Step 3 (that is uploading albumillustrations and remaining songs).

It says - 0 of 2 items uploaded

After many hours nothing done.

What is this and what can I do about it?

Thanks.

iTunes Match can stall on Song file and associated information. The best route to resolve is to use the Kind, iCloud Status and iCloud Download fields in your library view to determine which Song files are at issue. Post secure backup, remove the Song files concerned from the local library (an easy option is to copy Songs to a local folder and delete from iTunes). Once the Songs have been removed, turn off iTunes Match, sign-out of iTunes and restart computer from cold, start iTunes, sign-in to Store, start iTunes Match and allow the 3-step process to complete. This should yield a working library with all Song files 'matched' or 'uploaded'. Once achieved you can look again at the troublesome files, a good route here is to convert to 256 kbps AAC files using the facilities provided in iTunes, once complete 'update iTunes Match' to 'match' or 'upload' the Songs.

For reloading, best to turn off iTunes Match first, import the Song, select the Song, right-click and select the option to 'Convert to AAC', list Songs in library by Song name and remove the non-AAC version. Once complete for all Songs, turn on iTunes Match and allow the 3-step process to complete.

The reference to 'iTunes facilities' is important since there are 3rd party AAC converters but several do not work well with iTunes, hence best to follow the route outlined above.

Hope this helps ...
