How to get genius mixes

B-rock, the article you provided a link to had the following sentence:

Genius Mixes can only be synced automatically, so you won't be able to add Genius Mixes to your device if "Sync only checked songs and videos" is checked in the iTunes Summary pane. (emphasis added my me)

I have around 7-8 thousand songs in iTunes, and a 6th gen nano that will hold around half of that, so I sync only checked songs. That said, I have 11 Genius Mixes. Is that an error in the article?

I'm going to have to test that one out myself and see if I come up with the same results. If I do, I can try and pass this one up the chain somehow to have it corrected.

I have quite a few songs, many in the same genre and I can not get any genius mixes. What is up with that?

Read and followed instructions but no Genius playlists are available is all I get. Doesn't make sense. Genius stinks.
