Q: Find all AppleWorks files on a disk?
Now that I have a new Lion Mac, I can no longer run AppleWorks. I have AppleWorks files on my HD, as well as some scattered around on CD-ROMs.
I know that Pages will open some AppleWorks files, but I may want to convert some of my old AppleWorks files to a more permanent format, such as PDF. Also, I want to convert all important documents before I need to get rid of my old Mac.
In old versions of AppleWorks, I know there was an assistant called "Find AppleWorks Documents," which would be a handy thing to have now. Is there a way to do this outside of AppleWorks so that I can find all AppleWorks files for converting?

This process works on Snow Leopard: I don't know whether Lion is different.
Search for anything at all in spotlight. Click 'show all'. Click on the 'plus' sign at the right-hand end:
Clear the search field and set the menus in the bar below it to 'Kind', 'Other', and type 'AppleWorks Document' in the blank field:
