Is there an iphone app that will automatically 'pop up' a list of the current day's events/appointments?
If you have the Notifications Center turned on for the Calendar, the list of the day's appointments will show when you view the Notifications Center by swiping down from the top of the screen.
What is wrong with Notification Center?
It shows me all of my appointments.

You won't probably won't find anything like that. Anything that would "pop up" would have to go through the iOS notifications. There are a limited number of options for how things can be displayed. You can have individual events pop up if you set alarms on them. Is swiping down really that onerous?
Your description of what you want sounds exactly like what Notification Center is doing now on my iPhone so I can't understand why you need something besides that.

Swiping down is not so horrible of course. However, I was looking for an app that will automatically pop up this list of todays events. By doing that, I would not have to even enter my password. All i would have to do is puch the iphone button. I guess it would be sort of like having your daily calender texted to you everyday.
Maybe you should go talk to Steve Jobs about the great problem you are having.

If you use Google Calendar, you can have it send you texts before every event. You can decide how long before.
