can't install PowerPC applications on iMac.

I just brought a iMac today and when I tried to install Microsoft Word 2004 and intros 3, a window pops up saying they can't be installed because PowerPC applications are no longer supported. How do I fix this problem?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.2)

Lion does not support PowerPC applications.

You need to get updated applications.

You could install SnowLeopard as a dual-boot, or run it in a VM.
