i pod that wont turn on anymore

I have a 30 gig, i believe, and it wont turn on, it says that it doesnt have enough power and keeps on repeating this. even when it did turn on, i was unable to figure out how to get access to my music on a computer, since the one that i had synced it on, had broken. is there anyway, that i can access my music without the hassle of redown loading all of them again.
