Select All within a Mail Message Gone?

Prior to iOS5, it was possible to (tap/hold I think) within a received email and "select all" to copy the entire text for use elsewhere on the iOS device.

"Select All" is no longer possible within a received email. Does anyone know if this capability has been replaced by another option or was it dropped because it was assumed to be not valuable... fwiw, it's been _very_ valuable for my needs.
