I want to lock my iPod Classic so it needs a password?
Is there any way I can put a password on my iPod so that if someone steals it, it's basically useless to them?

The only feature available similar to that is the 4 digit passcode lock you can set via the Extra's menu. However, if somebody were to steal your iPod, all they would have to do is to restore the iPod to factory settings and they would be able to use the iPod (without your content though that would be wiped during the restore process).
