Flicker on external monitor

Hi everybody,

i try to connect my MBA 11" (Intel Core2Duo 1.6Ghz, 4GB RAM) to an external monitor via Mini Displayport VGA adapter.

The external monitor is iiyama ProLite E2208HDS. The resolution is 1920x1080 while frequency is 60Hz.

The problem that i've encountered is a continuous flicker of the external monitor between displayed screen to black screen.

Anyone have idea how to resolve this problem?
