Bricked apple tv by update 4.4.4

Today my Apple TV decided it would update to latest version of firmware/software, sadly I now have a brick.

I have tried to restore it using the micro USB cable and have even had a the support guys onto it and no luck so far, they have told my to take it to a Apple repair agent.

The Apple TV has never had a Jailbreak or any other things done to it.

The error I get is:

The Apple TV "Apple TV" could not be restored. An unknown error occured (1600).

I have tried multiple cables, computers and all produce the same error.

Is anyone else having ghe same problems???? Doe's anyone know of a fix for it?
