I am trying to install a cups driver for a Zebra LP2844 priner. When I type in http://localhost:631 it pulls up the CUPS page. But when I try to add a printer I get "INERNAL SERVER ERROR".
How can I fix this and install the printer?

Hi Krausdoug - Same thing has happened to me - so firstly i empathise - have you had any success since??
The issue is that the firewall is blocking access to the localhost. Turn off the firewall and re-boot. I was then able to get the printer set up and for some reason the firewall turned itself back on after I did it. Now with the firewall active, I can still get to localhost to make adjustments to my printer settings.
Hi Krausdoug - the firewall on the server? I am trying to do it on snow leopard server - although it says the firewall is off! or the firewall on the router?

I'm doing this on a macbook running Snow Leopard 10.7.2
I experienced this problem as well (Internal server error when going to CUPS Administration) and solved it by "Resetting print system" in System Preferences.
Apple > System Preferences > Print & Scan > [right-click] in printers box > "Reset print system".
Note that this will delete all your printers and you will need to re-add them.
