Can I read Olympus EXIF data in Aperture?
I can read the EXIF data in the Olympus View 2 software, but I can't see it in Aperture. Is there any way to do this?
MAC Book Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.2)

There is no extra step or secret method to get EXIF data into Aperture. It will display what it can.
If you explained in more detail first your OS and Aperture versions type of files you're importing and then just what it is you're not seeing we might be able to help.
Sorry for the delay, e-mail snafu. Thanks for your reply!
Specifically I am looking for the Olympus "Picture Mode" field. I can see it in the Olympus specific photo editor but it isn't available in the Aperture full list of EXIF fields.
One other issue is the "Focal Lenth (35mm)" field is blank but in the Olympus Viewer it contains the acurate information. Not sure if that is a real field or calculated from internal data.
You need to change your screen name to Rip Van Winkle 😉
As I wrote previously Aperture will display what it can display. There are no other commands to access the EXIF data. Most cameras have something missing or not reported fully. The EXIF data is highly manufacturer and camera dependent and things fall through the cracks.
It is possible over time as updates come out more data will be displayed. You should use the Aperture->Provide Aperture Feedback form to let them know what data is missing from your camera.
