"An error occurred while contacting the radio tuning service. Check your Internet connection, or try again later."

Hi.

Have listened every day, no problem. Today I get:

"An error occurred while contacting the radio tuning service.
Check your Internet connection, or try again later."

Anybody knows whats going on? Thank you.

Also experiencing same problem and none of the fixes listed here are working. Running iTunes 10.5.3 receiving the message when attempting to listen to the Alternative Rock stream (haven't tried the others) "An error occurred while contacting the radio tuning service. Check your Internet connection, or try again later." Only experiencing this on my Air at work, not Pro at home.

I know this is a round about why of going about this problem. I had the same problem as many others for a few weeks and I listen to itunes radio for 8 hours a day at work. So I was getting extremely frustrated. I tried all the steps people were listing but not one worked.

I remember the name of the stations I liked. I researched the stations name and found that you can download URL links to the station and import them into Itunes. This seems to fix the bug in itunes radio. I found all my stations at http://www.1.fm/Stations/tabid/56/Default.aspx . I downloaded the version for mac. You need to double select the download and it will automatically import into Itunes… Hope this help everyone.

Is Apple EVER going to respond to this issue that 2,241 people have been searching for answers about?! Mine's been out for at least 2 weeks, likely longer. I keep looking at this link to see if there has been a fix but still nothing. Spent way too much time on this so will just assume iTunes radio is no longer an option, too bad. Hope stations aren't paying Apple to be a station on iTunes when folks can't listen anyway!

Please Apple, will you repond to this weeks-long issue? Perhaps even an acknowledgement would be nice.

Apple just came out with an upgrade to iTunes. I did that at the end of last week, and the radio channels were back in working order.

Hi all. I set up a Mac Mini, brand new Snow Leopard install. Nothing in iTunes (no music in library). Thought I'd listen to radio (I have other computers already loaded with stuff). Got the same error message you describe. I thought I wouldn't be doing any purchases, so disabled store in preferences as soon as I had computer up and running. Tried about three times over a couple of weeks to get radio, could not load anything. But today, after allowing iTunes store in parental control, Radio loaded up everything as soon as I changed the settings. Worth a try, since it's easy to do. Now I will disable again, and expect radio to work, as I have store disabled in my other machines, and radio works. (Other machines: G5, dual boot, Leopard and Tiger. Mac Pro, Mountain Lion and Snow Leopard).

Yep, same here, with iTunes 11.0.5 on Snow Leopard.

Re-enabling iTunes Store in the Parental controls got Radio working again. Thanks for the tip!

I also went to "Preferences, Advanced" to "Reset all dialog warnings" and "Reset iTunes Store cache".

However, when I turned the Store off again, Radio stopped working!

We are being punished for not buying stuff from Apple.
