my 60W recently burned (coincidently when I start using it to charge my new MBA), so the apple store advised me to buy the new 85W charger as I will be able to have a year of warranty vs having my 60W replaced which will only come with 90 days of warranty.

Anyways, I was also told better not use it for the MBA as it will decrease the charging capacity of the MBA batteries over time and only use the charger that came with it. This is based on recent complaints from customers he says.

I try to avoid using it, but i hate having to bring my MBA charger bet. work and home back and forth, so I use the 85W only for emergencies.
