How much can the ipod touch 4g 8gb hold?

It is very difficult to say since apps vary greatly in size. So does music. However, given your proposed 50 or so apps and several hundred songs, plus "lots of pics" leads me to believe 8 GB will not be sufficient.

iOS itself requires some of the available memory. The 8GB iPod Touch leaves only about 6.5 GB available for your use. I would recommend you get a bigger one.

An 8 GB iPod can hold about 1500 songs in the compressed 128-Kbps AAC format. Apps can take a lot of space. It depends upon the app. Pics can take aup a lot a space if they are large files size.

An 8 GB only has about 6.4 GB available to the user. Many users have postd here wishing tha they opted for the 32 GB vice the 8 GB. I would go for the 32 GB.

I am reading this post and i also need help not realizing this 8gb now only hold 787 of my songs i,m 9 song short that need to be downloade4d still , i have tried and tried to delet some unwanted songs that was directly downloaded to the i pod and cannot for the life of me delete some songs to allow room for the last 9 songs i have on hold to be downloaded whats going on i tried for hours last night how do i delete some songs please ???

I have a 4g iPod and it has 8gb and if you get about 120 song you can get 10 pages of other apps which is another 120 so all together is 280 apps.
