Q: While using my MacBook pro it went black and will not start again

What shows on the screen?

What happens when you start up?
Does it make the startup sound?
Does anything show at any time duing the startup?
Press the power button down 5-10 seconds to make sure it's shut down, then try starting up and see if that makes any difference.

Feb 24, 2012 4:56 PMby grb3630,Thanks again for your help. I turned off the computer and let it sit for an half an hour, cool down time?, and now it started up and. Appears to be fine. Do you think when I get into an area with an apple store I should take it in for a check up? Will take it for sure if it happens again. Thanks for your help.
