When I forward an email, the message is expanded to include all of the detail. Yes, I can delete this, but what a pain this is. Is this a mail app problem or preference problem or something else? Is it fixable?
MacBook, Mac OS X (10.7.2), Core 2 Duo
Mail > Preferences > Composing > When quoting text in replies or forwards: Include selected text, if any.
That doesn't have any impact on this question that I can see. I tried changing it.

Select the part of the message you want to forward before you forward it. If you don't select anything the whole message will be forwarded, including the headers.
That solved it but it's still dumb. Is there a way to turn off both options regarding forwarding?
