Ever since I updated to Lion last week, iCal keeps reopening itself every time I quit it. Is there a way I can fix this?

I am having the same issue. It reopens, but stays hidden, when I quit. I have to click on the icon and quit the app a second time for it to stay closed.
I have the same problem on my MacBook Pro (w/Lion 10.7.5), iCal v5.0.3. I have noticed that it only occurs when connected to the Internet, when wifi is disconnected it shuts down ok. It may be a coincidence but since it started happening (after an iTunes update), my iPhone 5 battery started totally draining in about 3 hours on standby. If I turn off calendar on my phone iCloud settings it doesn't drain. I am thinking it has to be an iCloud issue that is stuck in a sync?
