Kaizo,
"CTO" means "Configure To Order." We used to call this a "BTO" order (Built To Order).
Any time you order a computer from the online store and start using the pull-down menus to modify the "stock' configuration, you will be getting a CTO machine. When you place your order, your machine is assembled, then shipped.
Under most circumstances, I would say that a CTO order
would affect the shipping time of your computer. Not so for the Macbooks, at least until the supply pipeline is adequately filled with standard configuration machines. Since every Macbook sold or being sold right now must be assembled post-order, the only thing that will affect your shipping time is where in the line you are. Take a number and have a seat, please 😉
