Is the 30-pin connector for the iPod Touch 4G connected to the battery?
Hi, peeps:
My 4th gen iPod touch refuses to charge. Aftr looking reeaally closely at the charging connector, I've noticed that a corner of the 30-pin connector to which I attach the charging cable is missing. (I gather it broke off.) Is the connector attached to the battery? I've been unable to find a schematic, so I can't tell. The reason I ask is because I'm wondering whether replacing the battery will solve the problem.
Yes, I plan to ask a Genius, but I'm trying to anticipate whether I'll be told that I'll need to replace the entire pod (something I can't afford to do right now), or whether I'll be told that a new battery will solve the problem (something that'll make me cry deliriously happy tears).
Thanks for any info!
