how to delete previous iPad backups in iTunes

Had iPad replaced by Apple due to possible software glitch. Need to delete previous backup and register replacement unit as new.

How do you delete previous backup from iTunes so I can register iPad as new. Already have an iPad2 registered.

Hi,

you can register your iPad as new even if you don't delete previous backups, you simply choose "Set Up as New iPad" when you first connect it to your iTunes.

But if you do want to delete old backups, in iTunes, go to

Preferences > Devices

There you'll see all backups you have. Choose the ones you don't want anymore and delete them.

Cheers.
