why don't all my contact sync with icloud
when i got my phone i imported some contacts from the sim card and others from my gmail account. some contacts i entered manually. why do only some of the contacts syncronize with icloud

Check that all your contacts are in your primary iCloud group, only contacts in this group will sync with your primary iCloud account.
In the example above I have a secondary iCloud account, but you might also see a 'On My Phone' group.
