Why doesn't my safari search engine have autocorrect? It's really frustrating when I want to search for something. Is there a way to turn this on? My autocorrect is on in settings. Thanks.

Autocorrect does not operate in search boxes (or address boxes in Safari or Mail) by design. There is and never will be a way to enable it.
All my other iPhones definitely had autocorrect in Safari search... I'm reading that this was an iOS 5 thing? I don't know why they would change it because it was really useful to me and it's a pain to search for things now.
It's a "pain" to have the proper business names, acronyms and abbreviations you want to enter into the search box "corrected."
I have the opposite problem on my Mac (OS 10.10.1 right now, but also true with OS 9 and earlier). I hate that the OS autocorrects within a search box, since often I am looking for a misspelled word or some other non-word. This has bugged me for years, but I just figured out a solution: type the search field in all caps, which is not autocorrected! Seems obvious now that I realize it, but I've put up with this annoyance for years. No more!
